Android to iPhone: has anyone successfully transferred WhatsApp chats between OnePlus and iPhone?

Hello! I'm making the move to the ecosystem but I've had a OnePlus 6 for 4 years and it has 4 years of important conversations that I'd like to keep. The only thing holding me back from making the buy is the fact that I'll lose my chats unless the Move to iOS feature works as advertised. Looking and hoping to find success stories

I did it successfully from a Samsung phone to iPhone recently. But my chat history wasn’t very big only a few months old. So your mileage may vary.

Was it a much newer samsung phone by any chance? I've got 5 GB of WhatsApp data lol, which is why I'm worried

2 years back, i transferred from Pixel 3XL to Iphone. i transferred almost 15GB whatsapp messages (doest not include images, docs or videos), chat history dating more than 8 years.

I paid for the 1month license. The entire transfer process took almost 8 hours. and during the entire duration, i was nervous that i might end up bricking up a brand new Iphone 12 pro max. But i got all my messages.

I have used that one back in August (also from Oneplus to Iphone). It worked, not entirely sure if 100% because super old group chats were empty.

It feels a bit shady because you have to sign up for a subscription but in the end it did work.

One tip, make sure to not login to many times. I got locked out for 48 hours because I kept switching phones in the process.
