Kinda early but I think the 15s gonna be more of a change than the 14s. Apple has like a 2 year cycle recently where you get good phones 11, 13 and not so good ones 12, 14. I don't know why but I'm hyped for the 15s, because what can Apple really do?!

Option to turn HDR for photos off. This feature is a nightmare.
I would like to see USB-C ports, matte, non slippery backs made of composite instead of glass and natural matte aluminium frames without the silly coloring that we have in the 14 and 14 Pro models. I also would not mind if the body of the 15s were a bit thicker and the battery life a bit longer.
No need for improvements in hardware, cameras or processing power but it would be great if the software would start to improve: iOS is miserable in comparison with the hardware it runs on.
Its battery is too small. Otherwise it's perfect.

Well… You have to edit RAW photos and they keep way much more space. So it’s not a solution.
The rumored periscope telephoto sounds promising.

It’s a failure when the most exciting and innovative “feature” to look forward to from Apple is a USB port.
i would like to see more colors for the pro series or (ultra series, which is a rumor btw) bc i’m so tired of the same 3 main colors like black, silver, and that nasty gold. if their gonna keep the same colors at least make the black a jet black and the silver a really white color. the gold should be a creame or beige color instead of a yellowish color. and for the 4th color they should do a red, or a pink or just make 5 or 8 different colors to choose from like the little ones. and also make the price drop a little bit, like i’m fine with $800, $600, or even $500 for a phone but 1,000 something is ridiculous. and it’s same design and everything. now for the design, i’ll do the no notch look like the 14 pros but make it smaller so it will be less visible and make the phone itself longer and the screen bigger. i love me a bigger screen when it comes to electronics. honestly apple just need to blow my mind with something new bc i’m a big apple lover and if ima spend money to upgrade my phone at least give me something to be like ohhh ahhh when i look at it. but anyway i hope y’all understand where i’m coming from.

This won't happen: it would be neat if Apple had BIG camera packs you could swap in & out onto the magsafe portion. It would use wireless pairing for data transfer & power so the performance wouldn't be the best. Just imagining an ecosystem of large, swappable camera units (that go on the back of the iPhone) is fun.
The closest we can have from that are external lenses from lens makers like Moment.

I’m just imagining an alternate universe where Apple releases Lens Faces (big camera backs that attach with MagSafe).
While 3rd parties could do it today with MagSafe and Bluetooth, nobody would be able to compete with Apple’s OS level software integration. Attaching a camera back to your iPhone would be as seamless as when you put AirPods in your ears. Then it could automatically open the Camera app.
11 added the tri-camera.
12 added the new flat side body, magsafe, 6.1” screen size upgrade, 5G in states.
13 added 120hz, 5G globally, ultra-wide lens.
14 added the largest camera upgrade since the 11, the first significant software/screen change since the X (dynamic island), and always-on-display
For me, losing the notch was the biggest thing I wanted since the X, and would consider it a big change year. I don’t see the 15 making any physical changes, and don’t think it will be a big year (imo)
new chip, im not sure but im pretty certain that apples prolly gonna go portless in the near future.
All I want is USB C… even my Xbox controller and mouse are USB C….
I would like to see a titanium chassis. But given how expensive that metal is, I have my doubts. Unless Apple is willing to go with a new Ultra model and a price tag over $1200.

When I unlock my phone after awhile my phone forgets the last app I used and takes me to the home screen.

I want a custom keyboard option too. I’d make the space bar bigger, cos whenever I’m searching on google with safari, everything comes up like ‘how.do.i.’ Etc. Fat thumbs really..
I would absolutely love to see a periscope lens on the telephoto. Maybe they’ll finally add a 4th camera for it? I like the focal length of the 3x telephoto as-is.
The camera lens itself looks like the biggest part of the pill. They could possibly make the sensors smaller but then it’d be asymmetrical which they’d never do. Unless they downgrade camera quality with a smaller camera sensor it’s staying the same size.
My guesses:
Overall, I don't see any other major features from other manufacturers for some time. Stuff like folding screens, cameras under the display, and ridiculous fast charging don't seem refined enough yet for Apple to implement "in their own way" yet. I'm safely betting on next year's lineup being more like the 14 than not.

I could see a slight design tweak. Improved cameras and likely a periscope lens on the 15 Ultra or whatever they call it. Pill shape will likely remain the same size for some time but USB-C could be definitely happen then be removed in 2-3 years time for full on wireless.
