You sir have been phished
You received an email from "Apple" that said something like your apple id has been compromised and to please change your password. You clicked the link provided on that email and you entered your old and new password, didn't you?
Never ever ever ever click a link in an email like this. Always go to the website 1) to see if there’s actually a problem and 2) to change your password.
My guess is you clicked the link in the fake password reset text or email. After they captured your credentials the password was changed again and you were locked out of your account.
If they have a card linked to it they could use it to buy things with.
Or they could ask for money to hand it back Source: dont ask!
OP already locked out if reddit? 😉
Hey man you ok?

Nope. Things seem to be working again now. I’m no whizz, but I can at least tell what phishing is. Still don’t know how it happened hahaha
Thankfully yes. Still kinda freaked out lol. Had to use a computer to get back in and change my password again but it seems like my phone is mine again. Have started to get calls from China though. They leave voicemails, but they’re in Chinese so I can’t understand them

Don’t you have a two-factor authentication enabled?
