Why is it that Apple doesn’t make phones for everybody? I work at Apple Premium Partner shop (in our country there’s no Apple Store) and i think iPhone 12+13 mini had much better sales than iPhone 14 plus. Apple wanted to create a bigger display-sized phone expecting it’s gonna be more popular, but it seems it didn’t work well. Do you guys think it’s a problem for Apple to make all three sizes of display to satisfy all customers’ needs? Or maybe Apple’s gonna standardise 6,1” and then there’d be no other option?

Thank you for your opinion!!

To be completely honest, the Mini IS the regular size phone. From there, you can't use your confortably without using your off-hand, so I really dont understand why phones are not following ergonomics anymore.

One simple question is always: Can you reach the back button at the top left of the screen with your thumb without changing your grip?

Yup.

Then the regular iPhone is definitely for you, but I reckon you also have bigger than average hands. I have pretty much average sized hands and even on the Mini, I struggle to tap the back button without changing my grip. So especially for smaller people, in Asian countries or women in general, a regular phone is not ergonomically suitable.

Well, I get the being at home with a bigger phone because at home I only use my laptop, even when I want to browse the web during breakfast. It’s when I leave home that I always use the phone one-handed and a bigger device than this is impossible to use. I never cared that much for battery life as I always carry a battery pack whenever I might need it. The screen size is fine in portrait use, but I never watched that many videos (landscape) on a phone so I don’t care for the extra real estate.

Also, the only reason I hate the concept if the regular size becoming the standard is that the smaller sizes are now seen as a niche, and the Mini lineup was cut this year (and possibly will not return for another 2-3 years). If it had a permanent spot, I wouldn’t really care, as the internals are all the same.

I would say so just because there is a market for it, same as there is one for the Plus or the SE (could even become the SE but I wouldn’t want the smaller phone to equate being the cheapest with less features). I even think they should just call it the Mini lineup with no number (like the SE) and release it triannually or something.

USB-C is the only thing that may well pry my mini out of my hands. I sure would like if they made a 15 mini though.

I think the 13 mini is pretty much all they could do with tech at the moment… they can’t improve the battery, or the camera really and what else is left?

There simply isn’t any spare room inside the mini chassis. I think they should have just called it mini without a number, so it could have not appeared dated for those who want the latest iPhone.

They still sell the 13 mini, so people still have the option…

The mini gets software updates for the next 5-6 years…

The problem is they made it a lot more expensive, no dynamic island, no new CPU, nothing but expect that we'll love it. We don't.
