I realized it was Apple Maps as soon as I posted. But the question persists; which setting do I need to turn off for this to not appear every time my phone connects my car?

I think this one is:
Settings > privacy and security > location services > system services > significant locations
And turn significant locations off.
They buried this one deep.

From an Apple forum:
settings>privacy>location services>system services>significant locations - turn off significant locations

I need the notifications enabled because of navigation, but doesn’t matter what I flick on or off on GMaps Apple Maps’ settings, I can’t disable this. Help.
ETA: I realize now that it’s Apple Maps. But still have the same question…

Oh man, this one used to drive me crazy a coupe years ago. Every time I got in my car I got this. I live near and drive past a McDonalds, so every time I got in my car after work I got the notification telling me “22 minutes to McDonalds” lol, although I have never actually gone there.

Are not Google Maps notifications, Apple Maps? Go to settings, into (Apple) Maps and you should be able to disable those notifications.
