I am a complete like tech noob, so might be a dumb question but I don’t know.

I’m doing a really niche thing that I specifically need a non-password protected Samsung hotspot for, I have a spare Samsung phone but it has no sim. Will anything happen if I just take the sim out of my iPhone, put it in the Samsung phone and put it back in my iPhone when done?

Your provider will be notified you swapped the SIM to a new phone, but that shouldn’t cause any issues unless you have to have it in a certain phone while under a contract or while counting towards the phone becoming unlocked.
