I just switched back to iPhone after over a decade of being with Android and I'm hesitant to update my ios because of this. I hear about constant performance and battery issues with every update, is this true?

The majority of the time I either notice no change or a slight improvement. Degradation and regressions are a rarity that is amplified by negative bias on the internet. (No one ever talks about unremarkable good things, only exciting bad things)
