I use Safari mostly on my phone and iPad, but Edge on my Mac Mini. I assume that even on MacOS it’s actually still Safari.

No, only iOS and iPadOS require that all browsers use the safari engines. macOS allows for installing from anywhere so you can actually instal other browsers

Edge syncs wonderfully between my pc and iPhone.

Edge’s bookmarks reappear often after I’ve deleted them. I’ve tried many times to clear out my sync or cloud or everything. But the web browser is so good, I just accept that flaw.

Funny, chrome used to do this to me which is why I even switched to edge to begin with.
