Excavations in Scarborough reveal bones of hunted animals, and tools made of wood and antler, which were all preserved through peat bogs. It would have been a small settlement, based on an island in a lake, which would later have been joined to Britain after being filled with peat.

I feel like I see this as much as Slams and Quietly appear in headlines too.

IIRC correctly they also found an abundance of plants used by the inhabitants, most notably Petroselinum crispum, Salvia officinalis, Salvia rosmarinus, and Thymus vulgaris.

That reminds me of another settlement I read about, just can't remember its name, where they found Kermes vermilio and plants of the Trifolium genus over and over.

I'm rolling that over and over in my mind, just can't place it though...
