Dungeness is one of the most surreal places I've ever been to. It's a beach village, with nothing but some old houses and a pub. The only way in is via steam train. There is an huge nuclear power plant. Derek Jarman, an old surreal filmmaker had his recluse shack there. Nothing about it would surprise me.
