Provides better sub bass response due to a better seal around the ears. Doesn't really change anything else sound-wise.
What this does is give you ability to use other earpads that don't cost a fortune to replace a year or two down the road.
The other thing is knowing you won't be snapping the original headband due to the cheap plastic.

The aluminium frame is definitely something I would like to get too, do they decrease the creaking noises?

It's nice it ships from Danmark, since I'm also in Scandinavia, should get here quite fast.

Mine took 3 weeks to reach the states so you're lucky.
As for the frame, I'd go with a different website to buy it from as that one is a US seller.
