I would just stick with the 660s if I were you.

What's the reasoning?

To me, the HD 660s just do everything right. Nothing is too harsh, nothing seems blurry. It just sits comfortably in between.

It's up to you, I just love my 660s.

Trust me, I love them too. The HD700s were an impulse buy. I really like them, but not what I'm used to? But I think its illegal to not have a HD6-- series headphone so I'll have to see

I used the HD 700 as my daily driver for years and thoroughly enjoyed every moment with them, and still do when I use them.

Give yourself some more time and they will probably grow on you.

People with this attitude are the reason why I have a pair of HD 600s collecting dust in my drawer.

What do you prefer over them? And why?

To the downvoters: just because a person chooses not to follow the herd, doesn’t mean you should shun them.

HD 560S and AKG K612 Pro, for example. I'd say it's because the HD 6x0 series have poor bass and treble extension, and the music I listen to (example) has a substantial amount of content on both ends.
