A Fiio E10K, drives this thing with the knob on 3.5 of 8. Do you think I should consider a better amp/dac for them? Maybe a tube amp?

Not sure how well that one works but it seems recommended often. I ran a schiit stack. I see tubes recommended often for the HD6XX but haven't tried them. I don't think there's a wrong answer, just all about what you like best!
I will recommend trying the oratory1990 EQ. I really enjoyed it.

Thank you, I will look into this. Seems like it’s actually free and it elevates the low end a bit

That's my favorite part of EQ, it's free!

You should look into the peace eq software. You can use it to make your own eq profiles or import other ones.

Only if you absolutely love these. Otherwise that money is better spent on different headphones. If subbass is your jam, you will never really get that satisfaction out of HD6XX.

Any external amp that supports 300 ohms and up will do, just get a 3.5 mm to rca cable and you'll be good to go.

If you want more bass, then tubes are the way to go.

Try the Little Dot MKII

That‘s really expensive though at 199€. I got the 6XX for 160 lightly used with the original packaging
