Chu or Quarks would make the most sense with the non-detachable cable, but it could be something completely different too

Just edited my post, but IMO the most sensible option would be a 2 pin USB C cable, allowing wider use of pretty much their entire range.

I suppose there are 3rd party solutions even Dunu has a full adapter swap system. Since its Moondrop's first attempt (with Type-C connector) I don't think they want to cannibalise by giving a generic 2-pin connector with Type-C. But I hope we do get to see that one day.

In just thinking in terms of potential sales volume. Logically they'd stand to make a lot more money off of a near universal cable with parametric EQ functionality than they would from a single IEM, since it could appeal to people running anything from low end to top tier IEMs (and not exclusively moondrop's own models either).

They could offer just the cable on its own, as well paired with an IEM (or even multiple IEMs across the price range). Looking at it that way it seems like the smart business decision to me, as it would minimise manufacturing costs and maximise potential sales. Whether they go this route remains to be seen.

Their twitter post says earphones, so im assuming its a separate product.

A standalone DSP cable would be incredible tho
