It's just a play on how transducers make sound. The speaker itself is only moving up and down to generate a single waveform. It's just that the waveform is a combination of many frequencies which our ears and brain is able to decipher as individual sounds

If you consider digital reconstruction, though, that single wave is literally the combination of many simple sine waves.

You almost understood it but I think if you look deeply superposition once again you would understand how this meme is meaningful and deeply true. I had a hard time in understanding this for long, and one day I got in!!

The transducer only has one degree of freedom, but the diaphragm has infinitely many 3D (axial, radial, displacement) vibrational modes, arguably 4D since different input frequencies generate different vibrational modes.
