Hearing the noise floor of your amp is a pretty normal thing and isn't much to worry about.

it's quite annoying in spaces where it's very quiet, I just turn them on and it's audible

you could prob return and get a decent headphone + mic or dam/amp instead. wont have to replace as often and have better sound quality
