When I placed my order on this enticing, beautiful IEM, I thought I would have the world. After all, many reviewers praised her beauty, as if she was Helen of Troy when she got kidnapped by by the Greeks. History books show that entire fleets of ships were sent in the name of Helen of Troy, and the sheer amount of reviewers praising this iem made me think of that. The heights of love are nearly boundless, as many might say. But so are the depths.
My ignorant Amazon deliveryman, not knowing the beauty and power lying in my package, delivered the face of beauty onto my doorstep. As I opened the door to receive my package, sent from the gods through the power of Hermes, a bright light shone as I opened the door, like the face of god himself. With trembling hands, I picked up the package, examining it in all its beauty. With excitement, I flew up the stairs, locked my door, and threw the package on the bed. Unspeakable things were to happen in that room on that day. I ripped open its contents, determined to get to the true heart of it. With shaking hands, I unearthed the beautiful gem, its beauty shining in the light. I put the little gremlins into my ears, hoping to get knocked out of my socks, getting blasted into the atmosphere as I simultaneously grabbed 2 trillion dollars worth of materials whilst stopping the extinction of the world by halting an asteroid. Then I listened.
Let's be honest, the girl who was known to be the most beautiful girl in her time, Helen of Troy, would be brushed off as a mere human right now. After all, this is an era where the standard of beauty has been raised to new heights, and many people fall off the balcony.
Then, I was thrown into the dirt.
The Zero sounded thin. Very thin. The 5db bass boost present on the graphs was like squirting a water gun at the surface of the sun, it really didn't do it for me.
Let us start with the bass. It was lacking some serious body and warmth to the sound, and it left me very unsatisfied after my listening session. If 7Hz had opted for a 10db boost, it wouldn't have sounded like a tin can.
However, with the bass boost applied, it sounded fine. Good, actually. Ultimately it reminds me of a very refined version of earphones you would find bundled with your phone or MP3. Good technicalities, decent soundstage, decent detail, and good tuning. But! For 20$, yes, this is a very good IEM, perhaps the best in it's price bracket, yet for a person like me, it gets a small nod. It's good, but not impressive.

That is why you take most reviewers with a grain of salt. Especially the ones with affiliate links selling the products they praise.
