Theres a feature, close to noise cancelling but more 'advanced'. I have worn 2 sets of headphones that did this, one years ago that a buddy stole from the army in Afghanistan, with them on, you could hear someone 15 yards away whispering like they were in your ear, and it would deaden loud sounds at the same time. designed for gunfights, we used them backstage for a play. how like life.

I assumed I would never own a pair of these, my buddy told me they were like 35,000 and first gen tech (in like 07-09 maybe?)

The second set of these i used were wireless earbuds last week. a friend of a friend had them, i was drunk, and i dont remember what they were. They played music over BT like youd expect, but also noise cancelled and did what im looking for with this post.

What's that feature called. not just amping quiet sounds, but muffling loud ones, all in real time. I'm sure its called Dynamic Audioator ReVolume DeConflibulation or whatever, but believe me when i say ive tried every reasonable description and term i could think of to look this up.

You’re describing the Comtac range made by Peltor (3M). Have a look at their product pages and you’ll probably find something descriptive.
