Hi,
I recently switched from using the Hifiman Sundara's to the Edition XS and here are my thoughts;
My first impressions were a sigh of relief, I was concerned about the build quality but it's not as bad as people make it out to be, it's a fully plastic construction besides the metal grills on both sides of the drivers: It's a weighty plastic that feels pretty sturdy and i'm positive it can hold up for many years to come.
Now here's my review of the sound,
It's wide and deep feeling, I'd say its around a x3 times taller sound then the Sundara's and around a twice as wide sound, this is probably due to the headphone being bigger.
The sound is warm but not as warm as the Sundara's and it's certainly less harsh sounding than them, It sounds balanced, I didn't notice too much detail difference but it's there.
Theres some creek to the headband but it's not really a dealbreaker and it happens very momentarily, It's mostly drowned out by the huge sound thats produced by the headphones.
For anyone looking for a upgrade to there Sundara's, pick up a Edition XS, if you just want a headphone that sounds less wide and more intimate then just stick with the Sundara's.

If a Hifiman headphone sounds "tall", try changing the position or angle you're wearing it at your head. Hifiman's headphone line is more sensitive to headphone placement than many others', so you need to find the sweet spot to take care of that imaging funkiness.
