Im having the hardest time deciding on a headphone set. Ive done polls and asked in mutliple reddit pages but I dont feel like im getting all the information. Now ive realized there is adjustable noise cancelling and on/off noise cancelling. I think i want adjustable? Use for podcast, music, and tv. I dont imagine ill be taking a lot of calls on this headset. I really need it for studying at this time. Price is not a factor as this is my birthday present to myself so 400 and under is fine.

Please help!!!

NC 700, it's not a Sony product and it looks good

Happy birthday!

Bose QC35ii (or the newer 45) is a solid option.

The NC700 is also worth considering. I have both the 35ii and the 700, and find the 35ii more comfortable and better built.

Returned my QC45 because I didn’t like that you couldn’t turn off ANC completely and that the ANC didn’t block out people talking (higher frequency sounds). Only use case I found them to be great was connecting to my tv for movies. Everything else there was a better option.

I ended up upgrading my AirPods gen 2 to APP2, which has 3 options for anc: on/transparent/off and sweat resistance for the gym/running.
