Symphonium announced it through online word of mouth, and when 5 of the 7 colors were reserved end of last year, they started moving forward with the project in collaboration with Singaporean figurine artist Doku Paradise.

I see, thanks! Sad I missed out but enjoy them :b On a side note, I’m now wondering what I could diy with the faceplate, but it’s scary when they’re so expensive. Oh well!

I can see how they were painted on Doku Paradise's FB, but I also know that Symphonium took nearly a month of QC testing before collecting payment and shipping these out to the lucky few that caught the release 😅

This is just to say, I do not recommend opening them up. If painting, I recommend taping up the nozzle. Fortunately, these are not vented IEMs, so no need to tape up other holes!

How's the fit compared to the Variations? From pictures, the shell looks so big and blocky.

The shell is a little bigger/different than Vari, but since I am able to fit the long nozzle with medium Sedna short tips, it stays in place comfortably.
My ears are kinda big too.
Also, the nozzle has less diameter/thickness than Vari. So the best way I can describe it is "big, but different".

Pictured is a 1-of-1 purple Symphonium Helios IEM. Only one of each color of the rainbow was made!
This is my first kilobuck IEM and I'm glad I held out till now. Not only are these gorgeous IEMs, but they sound wonderful.
In comparison to other's I have tried, like the Moondrop Variations, the Helios is much more resolving. Variations instrument separation, imaging, and trailing tones sounded smothered in comparison to these. These also have much more energetic dynamics and I personally love the tonality. The bass and treble is textured and impactful without taking away from the mids.
I can't get enough of these! I am going to go back to listening to them now.
