If left unattended it could be a fire hazard from the open flame, but other than the small candles, everything is made from metal and not a hazard.

In Finland too. My parents had one of those. I may or may not have broken it.

My parents had this exact thing, purchased in the UK, probably late 70s early 80s. I remember it well from my childhood.

Wood...pfft. Our original one was made of magnesium and benzene soaked rags!

So was ours. It caught on fire. Twice.

Why would this be a fire hazard?

Many decades of adulting have made me anxious around open flames in the home. Warm and fuzzies get shouted down by screams of 'OMG IT WILL KILL US ALL IN OUR SLEEP!!!'. My inner child is incapacitated. I blame the media.

You can tell that it was made for smaller (ie lower) candles. I’ve had one ever since I was a child and nothing happened.

We had on of those when I was younger, but it had a music box under it.

I remember getting this at a garden centre. When I saw it, the memories flooded back. Got it home, put it up, was totally enthralled, then 30 years of adulting and open flame discipline started nibbling away at the thrill. Love having it out and lit and twirling, but it comes with a healthy set of rules. Sadly, the battery powered tea lights don't twirl it, for some reason... ;)
