I'm trying to figure out how that camera is attached to him. Not a drone, it's one of those 360 cams that people like to put in their mouths. Maybe mounted on a rod that is attached to him.

I assume when it zooms out it is just increasing field of view. His ice axe still gets very close to it on his back swings.

No, it doesn't have to be. A long arduous hike would be type-2 fun. Besides, random calamity aside, there's not much adrenaline to be found from trudging through the snow.

I recently saw a video of a guy eat'n a small hills worth of ice and dirt. But the video was much further out. Just looks horrible. I'm sure there are lots of pleasures to be found in the sport, but this is like some self punishment shit.
