Controller since I am mainly a console gamer and it's easier for me

100% depends on the game. Something that needs motion accuracy, like a shooter, I want keyboard and mouse. Acceleration control, like racing games, I go with a controller.

Depends on the game…

Shooters, keyboard + mouse.

Driving games, flight simulator, etc… controller.

Depends on the game. Third-person action games and retro titles I prefer to play with a controller. RTS are M/KB all the way. Everything else I try a bit of both to see what scheme feels best.

Depends a lot on the game, but I lean toward controller most if the time because I came from a laptop

The Age of Empires Definitive Editions are great. Same gameplay as the original releases, but some substantial QoL improvements, new civilizations and units, and ongoing balance patching.

Usually KB+M, but something like a third of my games are better with a controller.

Anything shooter is keyboard for sure.

I have HOTAS for flight games

I used a controller for Mutant Football League and Road Rash or whatever the newer version is called

Controller. Grew up on consoles mostly so the keyboard feels odd

Controller, exclusively, and I don't really play online games so I'm not too concerned about the disadvantage. Only thing I really got into for a bit was Halo where a controller actually has the edge.

Controller. I don't know how one plays a video game with a keyboard.

Learn how to set up configs with Steam Input/input mapper or choice and use a controller for everything

Definitely varies by genre, but I'd say generally the Steam controller

Driving, sports, wrestling games and 2d fighters: controller. Everything else: keyboard and mouse

Keyboard and mouse. Even for games which would probably suit a controller better.

Keyboard for most games but sometimes I pull out a flight stick + throttle or a fight stick for the genres that kinda need their own dedicated controller. I'd probably get a racing wheel if I ever got into those.

For me it's very game based. For most I will use K&M but for the Souls series, two 2d platformers(speedrunners and RoR) and some basic racing games I will use controller. Now I also have a wheel for certain more "realistic" racing games and things like ATS as well as looking to set up a flight sim rig though probably early next year after I buy a house.

Kbm for FPS except Destiny 2, gamepad for everything else.

Most RTS and CRPG are kbm only by design, so no choice there.

I was in an RTS depression, I'm very picky and these are my main 4.

Red Alert Series Age of Kings Halo Wars 2

And my favorite of all time:

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2.

Would love to see Sony try and combine their vr controller with like a mmo mouse.

Depends on the game. Rocket league? Controller. Sim? Wheel and pedals. Shooter? Keyboard and mouse... Or the Wii zapper
