My top two and I can’t choose. If you had to pick one to play the rest of your life

My top two and I can’t choose. If you had to pick one to play the rest of your life
Very hard to choose but you have to consider replayability.
Which offers more choices and opportunities?
Both?
Red Dead
Same. Until I forced myself the third time and I fell in love 😅
RDR2
Imo the witcher 3 wins because of story.
I got it on my ps5 since the update and I just can’t be bothered to hit play lmao
Hmmm with replay ability it might be RDR2 with hunting, fishing, etc. but did think Witcher had a better story
The update is what finally made it bearable for me! Give it another shot
Witcher 3, far better game than RDR2 and not boring
Witcher. Rdr2 had a decent story, but for me it wasn’t anything like people say groundbreaking or crazy.
Witcher 3 has a very rich story which has very little left unexplained, only the ending is a bit confusing, but the rest is great.
Kinda defeats the purpose of the hypothetical question?
I also happen to consider both the best I've ever played in 24 years of gaming.
I think the overall cinematic qualities that I think would shine on the silver screen RDR2 possesses that Witcher 3 doesn't quite stack up to (although I think the Bloody Baron quest could be a movie) edges it out. I love Geralt as a protagonist, but he's very fictionally contained while the sheer breadth and depth of Arthur's self-reflection also gives him a realism element imo. unmatched in any game I've ever played.
That said, Witcher 3 has untouchable writing (esp. from a dialogue standpoint and rolling with the gamers' endless choices to still give a full experience), the GOAT DLC and Gwent inofitself is quite addicting/curbstomps any RDR side stuff.
Wow! Extremely thought out answer! I just finished the main story so I haven’t done the DLC yet (don’t kill me) but so the story was amazing. It’s made me want to read the books and watching the Netflix series. I think this game single handedly left a huge life impact as nerdy as that sounds. And yes, gwent was stupid addicting.
Hypothetical questions are dumb from some rando on reddit.
You’re fun at parties
Reject modernity, become cowboy
Yeah the very beginning of Witcher it was tough to hook myself. Took some card games and adventuring.
But the gameplay is a bit frustrating and gets stale. I'm in the middle I love fantasy but the western theme is good too.
Sadly the series on Netflix is pretty mediocre and the new stuff is gonna be awful since they hired writers that hate the watcher cuz it's Netflix. Henry cavil carries the show tho he's the goat in my opinion.
Might as well ask me to choose between my two testicles
Which testicle you choosing?
You're mistaking reddit for parties. You should probably try to get out more and hang out with human beings in person.
Got a New Year’s resolution for you - Get off Reddit not good for your mental health if you’re this mad over a hypothetical question 😂
Gun to my head, the Witcher 3. But i hate you for asking me to choose you bastard! 😫
In all seriousness, the Witcher 3 gets the slight nod because of the amazing DLCs and post launch support via the next gen update. Rockstar has yet to update RDR2 to 60 fps.
Red dead redemption is so much more superior game in so many aspects, starting from AI and graphics, ending with role play aspect and immersion, that it's not even a question.
Ok, rando.
Yeah, “rando” kind of the purpose of the app 🤯🤯🤯
Ok, rando.
You good dude? You're getting really riled up over this.
Ok, rando.
I think he broke
we need audiobooks voiced by Henry or Doug
on that note, i would love to to see a novel about Arthur Morgan read by Roger Clark, just.... imagine and feel that.....
can... can we crowdfund that somehow?
im a bit drunk but i think that would go on to be a bestseller
[removed]
lot of rdr2 fan boys downvoting anyone who says witcher is better.. kinda cringe
Have ~200hr on both...equaly good.
Rdr2 story is just an amazing game.
Red Dead, but it's close.
Me personally, I gotta side with Witcher 3. I love medieval fiction games.
Eww neither
Probably 2 of the best and most popular games ever made. Both are amazing in different aspects, maybe I would choose Witcher 3 by a slight margin but both are incredible
