Hey guys, new to the group. Does anyone know of a converter for the 2600 maybe coaxial to RGB OR HDMI converter? I just recently bought one and I don't have a tube TV? Any suggestions?

I googled it and found some cables on Amazon. I have no idea if they work so please read the reviews first. Good luck and have retro fun!
Thank you and I appreciate it!
I believe the cable you're looking for is a DIN to RCA cable. I know Atari and Commedore systems used them but I'm not sure about the Atari 2600 specifically
Ok awesome, I know I definitely need that but it looks like upscalers only go RGB or something. Thanks for the help.
No problem, you can get an RCA to HDMI adapter but chaining adapters can be weird or give you picture issues. Most modern TVs still have an RCA connection but they're in the form of a 3.5mm to RCA female adapter that comes in the box.
You probably won't find anything reliable straight from DIN to HDMI sadly.
I believe I found a converter box. Fingers crossed 🤣
There are many converters out there for cheap, just google it. But you should get a small used crt-tv because it'll look horrible on a modern TV.
Ok I tried Google and couldn't pinpoint one but this helps, thank you.
Techie aside, with a tiny bit of soldering, atari 2600 can be given a composite (single yellow rca) output, which is much more easily upconverted. Don't have a link right now but might make a good weekend project.
Oh that would be even better. There's no Coaxial to HDMI converters so you gotta get rca to HDMI but then it requires a VCR for every tutorial I watched. I'd just avoid getting 4 adapters, modding the wire itself would cut all of that down to 1 converter. You said you don't know if there's a tutorial online?
There are, I just haven't done any yet. Actually if you find a good one go ahead and let me know. But I do know that it's just a couple joints and an extra wire or two, a pretty simple job. I looked it up years ago and keep forgetting to do it. :-p
Ok for sure. I'm really interested in this now, it has to be done 🤣

they walk you through all the stuff, and have links. (Probably affiliate links)
