Anyone buy a desktop computer from walmart?

I've never bought a computer before and I'm new to using a pc for gaming but I want to try it. I was thinking of buying a computer from walmart, idk which one to start off with and they have some gaming oriented ones and I just wanted to know anyones experiences with them

Whatever you do don't buy one that was built by Walmart. Honestly I recommend watching a few tutorials on youtube and building your own PC (Linus Tech Tips has some great build guides). It's a better value and you'll get exactly what you need instead of paying for things you'll never use or wishing you had one particular feature. Also building PCs is just a fun thing to do imo.

Personally I would look at iBuyPowerPC or CyberpowerPC. If you have the budget for it you could build your own gaming PC. If you use PCPartPicker it will tell you if parts you pick are compatible with one another.

Prebuilt computers are always more expensive and there is a great risk of damage during transportation. It is better to secure PC parts individually and build them yourself. (Really not hard to do. It is mostly Just plugging parts into the ports that look like they match and putting some screws in.) If you are insistent on buying a pre-built then make sure to buy from a company that focuses specifically on selling pre-built computers. Do some research to find out how they package their products during shipping. Also, make sure you understand what parts are actually good by checking their specs and what each one mean.

Like 10-12 years ago I bought a IBuyPower prebuild from Walmart's website, had no issues whatsoever.
