I tried playing Yakuza 0, but I didn’t like the combat and having to buy drinks from 4 different stores just to complete the prologue.

Is Yakuza Like A Dragon substantially different?

It's a very different game, it's technically a spin-off of the Yakuza franchise.

It’s got turn based combat and similar social elements, though not as much as Persona 5. It’s like Yakuza and Persona had a baby imo.
