The bungie Halo games are definitely up there for me. Halo 3 especially. Mass Effect series is also a favourite of mine, primarily Mass Effect 3.

The halo games are iconic. Destiny has some wild action music as well.

Zelda games have much less intense but equally iconic tunes.

FFXIV, Doom, and Metal Gear Rising Revengence all have songs that I listen to in my standard music playlist.

I greatly enjoy the music of Halo, Destiny, and Mass Effect but they aren't really good standalone soundtracks.

Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. DooM:Eternal is a recent one I thought was cool, as was Prey (2017). Mick Gordon does great soundtracks.

Did you know he did the music for Darksiders: Genesis? As I was playing the game, I kept wondering why the music was so good! I actually enjoyed that game quite a lot overall, and the music was a big part of it.

I was torn between Red Dead Redemption 2 and Halo.

But I think Halo’s music is absolutely top tier. It’s just so perfect throughout the whole franchise. Even Halo 4 has some songs that I’ve listened to more than other Halo games.

For classic games you can never go wrong with Sonic games or donkey kong country games

For everything else there Is the tales series with some of the Most beautiful ost for jrpgs

And then any Game of Nihom Falcom, the ost for all of their games are bangers

I usually put on an ost to help me sleep. Currently in rotation are FFXV, Baten Kaitos (both games), trials of mana, secret of mana, breath of fire, and radiata stories. Sometimes I'll put on a dkc ost as well.
