It goes on sale at best buy for $300 many times a year. I have the same one.

This is quite wide of a monitor, ideal for atmospheric or more "casual" games but if you're going to be doing anything fast paced like FPS games these wider monitors can be a hindrance.

Price is a little on the high side for those specs but otherwise a solid choice (spec wise, I don't know anything about the brand)

It is a 2K monitor though so you'll need a GPU towards the higher end to maintain 165 frames per second.

32” seems a little large for a 16:9 1440p, and it’s a VA that isn’t curved. How far back will you be sitting from it? If you’re too close, you’ll be able to see the pixels; and the colors might be wonky at the edges of the screen. If you’re far enough away, it’ll probably be fine.

I have this exact monitor and it works great on Xbox series X but I don't know about anything else

I have that one. I find it decent for gaming, but I keep having a problem where dark colors produce a ghosting effect when your camera moves in game. There is a way to reduce the problem a little but I haven't yet figured out how to completely solve it.

It's good for casual games, but not great for more intense games like fps, those are the ones where I notice the ghosting the most.

It's pretty huge imo.

I tried adjusting the colors at the store near me, and they weren't as good as I was hoping for.; could be a me issue, and what I'm looking for is probably far more expensive.

But yeah, it is pretty huge. I've got a 28" wide, and i wish it was a little smaller.

This is WAYYYYY overkill for a console but really good for a PC. Little pricey though.

I have a similar monitor. Are you using ‘fast’ or ‘faster’ response time? I found that using ‘faster’ creates a lot of ghosting, while ‘fast’ doesn’t…

I would take a jaunt over to r/buildapcsales for better deals on stuff like this.

As for the monitor, it's a good monitor and you will be satisfied with it. 165hz, 4k, good size. The folks over there at this sub would kill you for buying this full price tho lol.

Goes on sale in the us with 80usd off all the time, I would buy now and rebuy and return later with the current receipt you have, or ask for a price adjustment.

Canada computers? If so pro tip never buy anything there unless it’s on sale and even then check Amazon first

if you’re gonna get a VA monitor, you should get curved. you can most likely find cheaper ones online that are the same specs but curved, or IPS instead.

I regret getting 1440p because it’s awkward for old games and is very demanding for new games.

Recently bought one, and the monitor was broken, would not even turn on. A friend of mine warned me not to, but I didnt listen. He himself had this monitor and it stopped working within 2 weeks.

I would be cautious buying this as LG quality assurance has gone done the shitter recently. Buy something else if you can.

Instead of randomly asking while looking at a $300 monitor at the store, go home and spend 30-60 mins researching it

I have a similar one. Best Buy I’ve made in years. Of course if you want the best of the Best Buy OLed

32" is too big in my opinion. Paired with a 2k resolution it will look rather pixelated. It's also a VA Displaypanel and not IPS, so that's a no from me

I guess I would ask, do you have a decent graphics card, and is it Nvidia?

If you don't have a pretty high-end graphics card, I'd say go with something cheaper. Because you won't hit anywhere near the 1440p 165hz (or whatever it was, on my phone).

If its not an Nvidia card, I'd say no, because this has gsync - which usually adds to the cost and won't be useful for your card.

I'd say, in general, if you have a mid range card - look for a monitor with 144hz, 1080p, 1ms response time. If you can get those or better for a good price, it'll be a fine monitor. For my desk setup 32" would be a bit large as well.

Can everyone please stop calling this a 2k monitor, its 2,5k monitor...

Imo a 32" 1440p (2,5k) monitor is to big for the resolution. It will be the same pixels per inch as a 1080p 24". What specs do you have in your pc?

If it can handle 1440p, go for a 27" if not go for a 24" 1080p monitor.

The monitors hz doesn't affect game performance, only the monitors capabilities 😊
