The 2020 MacBook Air had a 20-hour battery life, quite a bit longer than everything else. The pros generally have sacrificed battery life for performance.

Apple Silicon has been pretty great battery life even for the Pro computers.
M1 13" Pro and M1 Pro 16" Pro both had longer battery life than the M1 Air.

Yup. I got an M1 Pro 13 around launch, still to this day I can get almost a full week of battery with causal use (1-3 hours a day, light productivity tasks).

You are thinking of the 2020 M1 13" Macbook Pro which Apple has marketed as "up to 20 hour" battery life, the very similar M1 Air has a smaller battery and "up to 18 hour" battery life.

Nope. The 2020 M1 Air had a tested battery life of 20 hours.

well the 2020 M1 Pro (13" Touchbar) was even longer. Apple marketed the Air as 18 and Pro as 20, and some tests found longer times, but the Pro still longer.
