I haven’t turned it on in maybe 2 years.

I better turn on and get some firmware updates before they shut it down I suppose

Normally, they will make the updates available for a while after, but they will stop developing new updates, but who knows what will actually happen.

Yep, I'd assume it uses the same fw delivery service as the q2.

Same here. It quit working when I deleted my facebook account. Beat Saber was a lot of fun for a couple years.

I have one too. It's still pretty good using Airlink (or a usb cable) to tether it to a PC for VR, but there isn't that much good VR content.

The Quest 2 is pretty long in the tooth at this point too, so they're not really leaving Quest 1 owners with a good upgrade path.

The 3 is expected to be out this year so I'd say that's definitely the upgrade path they expect
