Should have clarified, I don’t have this exact item. I have a wireless switch controller made to look like a retro GC controller. The issue still stands though given that the button arrangement is the same.

I'm guessing you didnt play much Gamecube? The target market of this layout is for Gamecube and particularly Smash Melee vets who can't/don't want to change their muscle memory to the modern configuration
