But for practical purposes I’ll settle for the equivalent of what they’ve done with the Apple Watch Ultra, to start.

Enough to make through to the second night before charging and a solid three days on low power mode.

Actually I mainly charge my ultra while I’m in the shower and if I kept it on low power, (edit:) and kept the iPhone within Bluetooth range, I’m pretty sure I’d never have to take it off to charge otherwise. Battery life boost has been great.

Edit: I might actually have to try that experiment for a few days.

If it gives you a gps for driving just plug it in and it will be charged all the time....

There was a Russian phone made like a decade ago that had a regular color smartphone screen on one side and an e-ink display on the other for just that purpose. Reading emails and texts and newspapers without killing your battery.
