The relentless effort to remove the need for humans to perform tasks continues. And when most of the humans are unnecessary, what happens then? Where do people get the money to consume goods and services?
UBI is nice in theory. It assumes the benevolence of our ruling class, who at that point will be our supreme overlords. There are other possibilities that aren't as nice.
