Pretty sure that's normal for every Fitbit update.

I like the offer for a 35% off coupon for a new device. Way to pump those sales numbers, boys!

Google: Do Evil.

Seriously. 30 day charge, does everything I need including tracking heart rate, sleep, calories burnt, clear during the day and night, and alerts me to messages and calls. Semi old school display tech. Got rid of alexa. Solar charging is a nice gimmick (Still, I like it. Adds like a day or two a month with my settings.) GPS is one of the toys, but I really don't use it. It's not going to wow people with high tech watches, but for people that use fitbit products it sounds great. Garmin Instinct 2. Also, I find it funny that I just replaced my Versa 2 with this two months ago, so if it bricked my old watch, whatever.

To be honest, the idea of charging daily sounds insane and charging weekly was a slight inconvenience. 30 days? Geeze, it's not even an inconvenience.

/I should be getting paid for this.

What's so great about Garmin, may I ask as a current Fitbit user.

I ran a 30 mile race, Fitbit recorded 32 miles which increased my pace by a minute and some.

Also more measurements

But Fitbit records sleep pretty spot on

Love my Garmin, but the software side of it sucks. The versa 2 felt better built (obviously wasn't), and the software was fantastic. My Venu's software sucks, do you have issues with your Garmin's software?

After they abandoned Stadia I'm not likely to get a Fitbit again.

My Charge 3 just started randomly vibrating and acting like I was swiping in all directions. Tried every "reset" trick I could find online, and nothing worked. A friend told me these things are only designed to last a few years.

What a ripoff.

This is just a stupid take, sorry. They were pumping billions into stadia for literal years. They gave away stadia kits like crazy.

How are you angry that they shut down a product that was hemorrhaging money and still reimbursed everyone?

I actually used the service, I'm not happy but I fully understand why they did it.

Fuck Fitbit. If you're device is stolen they'll just let the thief register and use it and provide you no help at all.

Cheap_Amphibian309 t1_issl9jn wrote

How can they tell it was actually stolen vs. you sold it to someone?

Mister_Brevity t1_issuc6s wrote

If you contact them to report it’s stolen, you probably didn’t sell it

4

Cheap_Amphibian309 t1_ist4n3p wrote

Or you’re trying to get money off the sale, and get a new Fitbit. I’m not saying OP did that, but how would the company know?

−2

Mister_Brevity t1_istba45 wrote

A lot of companies just flag a device as stolen in the system (with a police report) but take no action, but the record is there if the police submit a data request.

As far as trying to scrape money from a used sale, that sounds like extra work for almost no money.

Cheap_Amphibian309 t1_isudc40 wrote

You made this entire response for no money, some would ask why bother?

I see, you just need to be contrarian.

Cheap_Amphibian309 t1_isve9in wrote

Who would waste police time with a making a claim for a Fitbit? The poster didn’t mention any report.

Mister_Brevity t1_isveho6 wrote

Still contrarian. You just want to argue, you can do that on your own. It’s like talking to a toddler.

I’m explaining a basic policy that many business have. I’m not sure why you are arguing it.

My favorite feature of my Sense is randomly restarting in the middle of the night and buzzing as it does so. It’s fun to get woken up by the device that’s supposed to help evaluate the quality of my sleep.

Normal for fitbit, scumbag company. I had a watch, my gf had one, mom & dad had one each and all 4 of them stopped working right after warranty ended

ElReyDelMund0 t1_itpy6gv wrote

My aunt gave me the watch she didn't want. It worked for 2 minutes until I updated it. I assume Fitbit purposely bricked their old devices to force us to upgrade. I'm not doing that. Hope she kept the receipt.

zorgofurge t1_isrzbwy wrote

Well, Versa 2 is a pile of crap anyway, so not much lost with it being bricked. I had a few smart watches/bracelets through the years, but I hate the Versa 2 the most by far.
