Frankly, I think If I wanted a windows pro laptop, I'd pick a DELL XPS (optional touchscreen) not a big fan of dell, especially alienware but they really seem to ace the XPS lines year after year

That’s what I thought and bought an XPS 15 and feel disappointed. Battery life is 3-4 hours and have so many problems…

XPS always looks good from far. Just go to any forum for a computer brand and then go to XPS. you will know what we mean...

I think that applies to the surface lineup too, there have been several issues revolving around that lineup too.

Agreed! I've had xps including some from the very early models (m1330). Also had surface pro. I currently own an xps. I agree that they both have quality issues. The killer for XPS for me is the combination of quality issues and terrible customer support. I've got their premium support and it still made me swear off of it. Surface support on the other hand has been much more pleasant. Also, the audio drivers on XPS are atrocious!

I’ve been using a Precision laptop for work, which is their commercial XPS, basically the very best they have, and I’ve been pretty unhappy with it. Bad battery life, overheats like crazy, keyboard has bad keys, networking will randomly drop, etc.
