Unless you’re in a line of work that benefits massively from every last drop of performance you can get, then pretty much any CPU released in the past few years will get the job done.

There’s no reason to keep upgrading when the performance gain is minimal, so people are saving their money and sticking with what they’ve got, especially considering the world is currently an economic shitshow.

Just hit 4 years on the "killer" i9 box I built in 2019. Still stable, still fast. There just doesn't seem to be an upgrade need.
