They are the freshest pastries in that the owner just opened the box 2 weeks ago and shoved em in. They are still 2 weeks away from expiring so git down dare and grab some and gobble those bad boys down.

That reminds me what happens when even these are too old to sell. I went to a friend's farm once and there was a small mountain of Hostess everything in the middle of a paddock. I asked what that was about and he said that he buys them by the ton when they expire and feeds them to the cattle. So even if you don't eat them, you may still be eating them.
