Or is your family one of those classic fucked American households who didn't plan their kids at all.... wait never mind. Six kids pretty much answers that.

The fifth brother is sitting cross legged on the floor with his head tilted back. He was born when my grandmother was in her early 50s and taking a lot of happy housewife pills. This, he was younger than his siblings and had significant disabilities. For reference, I'm the baby my mom is holding and that youngest uncle was probably 11 in that pic.

He died a couple of years ago. Made it to his 40s. He spent the last decade of his life in an adult care facility. That seemed lonely, but I think they were also the best years of his life.

My mom had her first kid at 18, her fifth kid at 28, and then me when she was 41 and my parents were getting a separation (ooops). First kid was the catalyst for the marriage (ooops.)
