No it's for real, I've dated someone who was genuine about it. I was hella out of shape at the time and she didn't care. I also sometimes see it on people's profiles. It's usually people who are genuinely okay with dad bods and want to be in a chill relationship where they're not judged for their bodies either

dad bod has honestly lost all meaning from its original intent. originally it was a way to describe a fit/muscular guy who gained some weight after becoming a dad -- thus, a strong frame/physique, but a bit of a gut/some thickness everywhere too. now it's just become a catch all for out of shape.

Yeah I know what you mean lol. I do prefer the new meaning though -- I always felt the original didn't really fit, since it's more common for dads to simply be chubby or fat without the muscles underneath
