I think most days I would find this funny, but today I have a terminally sick cat who isn't eating and the one thing I would want more than anything is see her steal some food from me just so I know that she's eating.

I feel your pain. Just make sure to comfort her as much as you can. I lost my Sadie the day before my birthday back in 2018 and I was so swamped from work, work related injury and doctors that I wasn't able to be there for her as much as I should have been. Do your best for her and never stop loving her, make her remaining time as good as you can.
