I don't see any toys in that cage. You have a creature with the intelligence of a small child that will live 50-80 years, please get it the stimulating toys it needs. Beware letting it play with human things, there could be all manner of toxins in human toys.
Buy or make wood and puzzle toys designed for birds. PM me if you need help, owning a grey is a HUGE, LIFETIME responsibility.

If that's your bird, find it a new home immediately. You obviously are not taking proper care. If you don't already have a nightmare on your hands, consider yourself lucky

Are you kidding me? Lucky has tons of toys appropriate for birds that stimulate his mind and keep him entertained for hours. Just because you don’t see them from that small portion of his large cage doesn’t mean they’re not there and just because he has a doll doesn’t mean he lacks bird toys. He also has with wooden perches, fresh chop (if you’re in any way experienced with parrots, you should know what that is), and healthy pellets for him to eat. He gets annual avian vet visits to ensure he’s healthy. He spends 24/7 outside of his cage and only goes in if and when he feels like it. He’s a member of our family. I’m well educated on owning an African Grey parrot and I did a year of research before even considering to get one. And yes, I know that they have the intelligence of a 3-4 human child and having an African Grey is a huge lifetime commitment. My Lucky is well taken care of and has a healthy and happy life. Don’t make assumptions where it’s not your place and don’t shame someone on owning and caring for animal when you don’t know jack shit about the care they provide for them based on one photo.

Get as indignant as you like, I'm glad to hear you have a clue. As for the rest of the readers downvoting me, I hope they have a clue too, because most people do not, and the majority of these birds are cared for poorly. If I opened anybody's eyes, that's fine by me.

Love them African Greys!

Cage looks pretty small for a lifetime animal. Consider transforming the entire room into a habitat.
ChicagoChurro OP t1_ja5l1ct wrote
I’ve done research and consulted with parrot experts, his cage is the appropriate size for him. Besides, he doesn’t even use his cage. He’s allowed to roam around freely and uses his cage once in a blue moon.

I've got a bigger habitat for my fish. To each their own. Best of luck you and that animal.
ChicagoChurro OP t1_ja5lduc wrote
Fish have different needs and space requirements than parrots. Thanks, best of luck to you and your fish too.

You seem really defensive for a good reason, you accepted one person's view point so you've rejected everyone else's. Keep your mindset open in life, it can lead you to higher forms of enlightenment you thought not possible. Mushrooms help with that in some sense.

Do you have X-ray vision? You can barely see one sliver of the cage

You didn’t open anyones eyes. You just came off like a douche.
You literally insult her pet care from a tiny sliver of a picture and expected what praise?
