How easy are they to make?
At the minute I'm still having shop bought ones a lot due to cost vs effort but I'd like to try making my own.

Well, it's pretty easy. Boil two potatoes without peeling them. No too boiled. Then peel it, smash it and add an egg. Then you add flour slowly until you have a good mix. Make strings of about 1cm in diameter, cut it each 1cm and with your thumb roll those bits on the fork to make the strips. Then boil the gnocchi until it floats. I think that is less than 5 min. There tou have it. All the process could last 1 hr. This is a dinner for two. Eating two plates each. Carefull! Don't let the potatoes boil too much because won't be any amout of flour to get the mix right and you'll end up eating gnocchi the whole week haha

The tradition here says that you must make it and eat it the 29th day of the month. And put a bill below your plate for good fortune.

Escrito distinto, misma receta y los dos se comen el 29 como corresponde. Salsa de tomate y carne, con una tira de falda. Asado sobrante sirve tmb. O pollo... o costeleta de aguja.
