That's more a sandwich type, no? And made with ciabatta or similar. Maybe it's a thin ciabatta.

Originally a muffuletta (in Sicily, Italy) is a particular type of bread: round, quite flat and very soft inside and crunchy outside. But yes I've also seen it also referred to what's inside instead of the type of bread.
