I put it in most things for seasoning. It’s a game changer. I smoked some myself 3 weeks ago. I couldn’t find any for 5 months. Finally found some partially cooked at Walmart and finished it up myself.

Absolutely! I don’t know if it’s common where you live, but I recommend looking around your area for an actual butcher shop. I am good friends with mine, so it’s easy for me to get everything from jowl to tomahawks to wings for a great deal, and with much higher quality! Often times people have one nearby and don’t realize it!

Believe it or not, I live in the Deep South. Wouldn’t expect that. Granted, I didn’t do a deep dive search. I haven’t looked for a butcher shop as they tend to be on the pricey side. But thanks for the advice. I’ll check it out

I live in Alabama, they are often called “meat markets”. And I thought they were more expensive too, but at least the one I use normally is very fair. And even the ground beef they say is 80/20 is more lean than the 80/20 from grocery stores. So it goes a lot further. Good luck to ya
