Looks beautiful. As an English person who hasn't yet tried the gravy, what ingredients goes into it, please? Very different gravy over here

It’s like a peppery, sausagey bechamel. Sometimes called ‘Sawmill Gravy’ if you’re Googling recipes. And the biscuits, of course, are not cookies.

Thank you for that! I'll try my hand at it! And, no, not cookies, they're scones 😀

Brown 1 pound of breakfast sausage. Once cooked, add 1/4 cup of flour. Stir to coat. Then add 2 1/4 cups of whole milk, about a half cup at a time, stirring until thickened. Add some pepper, if needed. 👍

That’s my method. Wife and 18 month old child love it.

This is confusing for me because Italian Americans also call pasta sauce gravy 🍝. Where I come from, gravy is that brown stuff they serve with roasts etc.

Anything made from animal drippings/fat could be considered a gravy. A Sunday gravy is getting its flavor from beef, pork and sometimes veal. In this case it's sausage.
