Potato latkes were a modern invention 220 years ago you nitwit. it really wouldn't have been so hard to find a way to share the tidbit you knew without sounding like an absolute ass.

So I know sweet shag all about food, so can I ask why is this a flapjack when it looks like a pancake? I thought flapjacks were baked, oaty bars.

Not sure why you're being downvoted. I go to Granger & Co semi regularly for breakfast and they call them Ricotta hotcakes I think, not flapjack

Edit: Apparently some regions of the US call them flapjacks
