Sure! Plate of chips for two: 4 medium sized maris piper potatoes. You can use rooster potatoes too but I find the maris piper's make a fluffier inside of the chip and still a nice crisp outside.
Peel, wash and rinse the spuds. Dry them off with kitchen paper, the dryer the surface of the chip, the crispier they get on the outside.
Place the dried chips in the air fryer, add two table spoons of vegetable oil (or any cooking oil but not olive oil because it burns the spuds) and cook for 28 min on 200°c/390ish f. My airfryer lets me set different temps and 200°c gives me the best tasting chip without any burnt bits.
Once cooked, spread the chips out on kitchen paper on a plate and try get them spread out in a single layer. Season generously with salt and malt vinegar. The vinegar is optional but it's a very common way to season chips here in Ireland.

Out of interest, what air fryer do you have? Interesting point on the olive oil too, never thought of that. I guess 200C is too hot for it compared to veggie oil.

I got a Tefal Actifry Genius XL last year. Before that, I had a Tefal Original. There's a difference in size and I'd prefer the smaller Original one but it doesn't come with the fancy temperature setting options that the XL has. Here's a snap of my air fryer when it was just out of the box. 😊
