so thankful i'm not the only one. i saw this presented in a nova docu and i couldn't help but notice that all of the examples they used were organic in origin.
earth is the only place that we know of that has organic matter and all organisms on earth are related to each other. so, in the Fibonacci numbers we're likely looking at iteration patterns of DNA controller genes (or another related organic phenomena) which is vastly different from a "universal secret number system."

Reply to comment by Phage0070 in ELI5: What are tree wells and why are they dangerous during an avalanche? by Narrev
Also dangerous because they might appear safe shelter, or something fun to climb down into to build a snow fort etc. But as you climb down and maybe safely get under the branches, your jostling could release the tons of built up snow stored in the branches above you, burying you.
One of the things I was taught as a kid, so I have to admit my sources are just passed down from older generations.

This doesn't feel like it's meant for a five year old. Please speak to me like I'm 5

Reply to ELI5: How does salt seemingly hydrate you and dehydrate you at the same time. They always say you need electrolytes (salt?) for hydration, then why can’t we drink sea water? by TriCombington
You CAN drink sea water. Your body would use both the water and salt. But, you just can't drink very much, and not without drinking something else, preferably nu e fresh water, to compensate and help it process the salt.
Like with most things, the poison is in the dose. Even at ypur most dehydrated, salt water from the ocean is too salty, way too salty, and not only will it wreck your kidneys, but without the other electrolytes beside sodium muscles and nerves won't work.

Also note that this is the maximum speed of the wireless connection.
Your connection to the Internet is still limited by your ISP's speed. Nobody has an ISP that supports 40Gbps.

Fibonacci sequence is a group of numbers that start with 0 and 1, and every number after that is the sum of the two numbers before it.

It might explain why people become addicted to news/social media that enrages them but not so much to feel-good content.

Reply to comment by Alternative_Bar_6441 in ELI5 Why when we jump in the air the earth doesnt move by Alternative_Bar_6441
If you are moving fowards and jumping, what would slow you down? Air resistance. But in the case of you jumping with the earth, the air is moving forwards with you overall. So you keep moving at the same speed as the earth.
